Fashion Store is devoted to sustainability and environmental responsibility. As required by the Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 and subsequent amendments, we comply with Extended Producer Responsibility (“EPR”) obligations. We believe in taking accountability throughout the product lifecycle—from sourcing to disposal.
1. What is EPR?
Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) mandates that producers, importers, and brand owners bear responsibility for post-consumer plastic waste management. We comply with this regulation by financing or taking back packaging through approved programs.
2. Our Packaging
3. Collection and Take-Back Programs
We partner with authorized waste management organizations who collect used packaging from consumers. When returning a product, you may also return packaging materials. We track collection volumes and certify compliance through annual audits.
4. Financial Contributions
We contribute to an EPR fund that supports infrastructure for recycling and waste management. These funds underwrite collection centers and awareness campaigns aimed at reducing plastic pollution.
5. Consumer Guidance
Clear disposal instructions are provided on packaging. We educate customers via email newsletters and site banners about sorting and recycling steps. E-waste like product tags or electronics are also responsibly handled.
6. Reporting & Transparency
Compliance reports, annual packaging usage, collection percentages, and end-of-life disposal statistics are available upon request. Contact epr@fashionstore.com for more details.
7. Continuous Improvement
We regularly evaluate packaging materials and switch to more sustainable alternatives. We are also exploring plastic-free returns and reusable/returnable packaging options.
